原始摘要(英文原文)· Original abstract
Sodium‐metal chloride batteries hold significant potential for energy storage applications, though their performance is hindered by limited specific energy. This short review shows that integrating a separate electronically conductive scaffold into the cathode architecture can mitigate this limitation and enhance cycle life, provided it is coupled with enhanced metal utilization. By surveying existing literature and extracting additional performance metrics, it is identified whether practical shortfalls arise from restricted effective cycle capacity or elevated cell resistance. This analysis reveals that while conductive scaffolds improve electrochemical performance, their microstructural design remains largely unexplored. This gap presents a compelling direction for future research in optimizing sodium‐metal chloride cell architectures.
