Near-Field Coupling Array for Wireless MRI RF Coils In article number 2503481, Ye Li and co-workers highlight a novel wireless radiofrequency (RF) reception architecture based on metasurfaces, termed the near-field coupling array (NFCA), designed to enhance image quality of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). By eliminating cable connections and enabling robust parallel imaging, NFCA improves imaging efficiency and patient comfort. The NFCA demonstrates a 66% signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gain compared to conventional wired coils, while maintaining high acceleration capability.
