Enaminone Triggered Ring Opening of Cyclopropenones for Enamide Synthesis and Its Application in Oxazole Construction

Herein, we report an addition‐elimination ring opening reaction cascade between cyclopropenones and enaminones with Ag(I) catalysis. The successful utilization of enaminones as the carbon nucleophiles enables the practical synthesis of enamides via ring opening. In addition, the two‐step operation by subjecting the in situ generated enamides to oxidative conditions allows the synthesis of oxazoles featuring a C2‐vinyl substituent by CO bond construction.
