Highly Selective Lithium Adsorption Material In their Research Article (10.1002/adfm.202513012), Liming Yang, Xubiao Luo, and co-workers intorduce a β-diketone-functionalized brush polymer (Cell-g-pDK) for highly selective and rapid lithium extraction, overcoming the limitations of conventional adsorbents. Its unique brush architecture minimizes chain entanglement via steric repulsion, enabling exceptional Li+ adsorption capacity (53.64 mg/g) and outstanding selectivity (Kd = 257.74 mL/g). Remarkably, it achieves ∼100% Li+ extraction from ultra-dilute geothermal brine (≤ 100 mg/L) in 45 minutes, with 717-fold enrichment and >10 reuses. This topology polymer paves the way for sustainable lithium recovery from complex sources.
