Abstract Hybrid luminescent metal halides has emerged as the state‐of‐the‐art scintillators, while remaining challenges for enhancing light yield and X‐ray imaging capability. Herein, halogen engineering is reported to optimize Cu(I)‐based hybrid halides by enhancing the X‐ray absorption cross‐section, resulting in an increase of light yield by 188% to 79,770 photons MeV −1 from (C 12 H 30 N 2 ) 2 Cu 6 Cl 10 to optimized (C 6 H 15 N) 2 CuI 3 . The transparent glassy scintillation screen with optical transparency beyond 82% demonstrates good thermal stability and high mechanical flexibility. More importantly, the high X‐ray imaging resolution of 20.5 lp mm −1 is achieved based on the Cu‐I‐based glassy scintillation screen. The combined merits of enhancing scintillation performance and X‐ray imaging resolution provide a platform for developing halide glass scintillators and enriching their applications in radiology and security screening.
