A Unified Framework for Decentralized and Private Verification of Wearable Health Data using Blockchain and Zero Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs)

原始摘要(英文原文)· Original abstract
This chapter proposes a decentralized, privacy-preserving framework for wearable health data verification by integrating blockchain-based smart contracts with Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs). The system uses ZoKrates to generate zk-SNARKs for multiple health metrics, ensuring that validation of user data can occur without disclosing the actual values. Ethereum smart contracts, deployed using Truffle and tested on a local Ganache blockchain, act as immutable repositories for metadata while full ZKP artifacts are pinned to InterPlanetary File System for decentralized storage. A full-stack Flask application serves as the interface, with separate modules for user registration, admin monitoring and real-time ZKP verification. The essence of the framework is to be able to implement and achieve the concept of zero trust security, which is based on the initial principle of never trust and always verify.
