The Global Transition Dynamics (GTD) framework draws from dynamical systems, mapping how institutional entropy, operational burden, or civic disengagement evolve across time. REBALANCE is a structural resilience and diagnostics system rooted in dynamical systems and control theory. The GTD framework is designed to capture where stress resides within a system and how that stress propagates over time. While REBALANCE defines the structure of fragility – nine specific vectors of pressure – GTD defines the trajectory: the velocity, slope, and convergence patterns that indicate how close a system is to structural failure. Resilience models used in public and infrastructure sectors tend to fall into two categories: checklist compliance systems and static risk-mitigation schemas. Both serve baseline purposes, but neither is designed to detect structural drift before the onset of visible failure. Digital twins can map real-time vector behavior only if the data flows cross boundaries.
